An independent record, with evidence on file.
cowboybikebroke.cc documents real reports from owners of Cowboy bikes who faced broken bikes, unrepaired faults, poor service, long delays and unactioned recalls, to press for greater transparency, accountability and action. It has been preserved as an archive since July 2026.
Why this exists
Some product problems are one-offs. Others are patterns: faults that go unrepaired, support that goes quiet, recalls left unactioned, and owners left waiting long after they were promised a remedy. When that happens, the facts deserve to be written down clearly and kept in one place.
That is what this site is for: documenting Cowboy bike reports factually and openly, so that owners, journalists and regulators can see the full sequence of events, not a fragment of it. It is a record, built to be relied on by the people who need it.
The guiding principle
Three things shape how reports are recorded here.
Dated
Reports stick to specifics: dated events, what was said and what was done. Public sources, like a regulator’s recall notice, are linked where they exist.
Evidence on file
Affected riders submit their own account, with any supporting evidence, which is kept on file. It is a place for those accounts to be recorded, not a verdict on anyone.
Independent
This is an owner-led consumer project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or speaking for Cowboy or any regulator, and it carries no advertising.
What this is, and what it isn’t
This is
- +A dated record of riders’ own reports.
- +A place that pressed for transparency and remedy.
- +Independent, owner-led and open to correction.
- +Preserved as an archive since July 2026.
This is not
- –One person’s complaint or a rant.
- –Affiliated with or endorsed by Cowboy.
- –Legal advice or a formal regulator channel.
- –A place that names individuals or shares personal data.
Accuracy & corrections
Accuracy matters more than speed. If anything here is wrong or out of date, including for the company being documented, we want to know and will correct it promptly, with the change dated on the record.
Cowboy is welcome to respond to any report, and any substantive response will be reflected. Corrections and right-of-reply requests can be sent through the contact form.
Where a rider has supporting material, it is kept on file rather than posted in full. Public primary sources, such as a regulator’s recall listing, are linked. A journalist or regulator can ask about the evidence behind a report.
For journalists
This is an independent, owner-led record, run by an affected Cowboy owner. The reports rest on primary documents: manufacturer emails, the recall notice, and dated photographs and video.
Check the record
On request, we can confirm who is behind the project and talk a journalist through the evidence behind a report, including its dates and provenance.
Redaction, not concealment
Personal and financial identifiers are redacted in anything public, but can be substantiated privately to a journalist or regulator.
Right of reply
Cowboy and ReBirth are welcome to respond to any report. Substantive responses are reflected and dated on the record.
On deadline
Use the contact form, say your outlet and any deadline, and what you need to stand the story up.
