What happened
A reader’s own account, submitted to Cowboy Bike Broke and published as the rider’s statement of their experience; it has not been independently verified. Cowboy has a right of reply through the contact page.
The rider, who says they live in France, tells us they bought a Cowboy 4 ST in August 2023. They say that when their bike fell under Cowboy's frame recall, they were asked to book an appointment in Paris to drop it off, a journey they describe as roughly 700 km each way, with train tickets for the trip there and back.
After what they describe as many emails, they say Cowboy sent them a bike box so they could ship the bike to Paris instead. According to their account, the package was due to be delivered on 3 May 2026, but the address Cowboy gave did not accept deliveries, so they asked the carrier to return the bike to them.
The rider says they have opened a dispute with the European consumer mediator and are asking Cowboy for a full refund.
A long trip to Paris, a bike box, a delivery to an address that refused parcels, and still no resolution: now a refund claim before the EU mediator.
What the rider says
The rider’s own words, as submitted.
The address they gave does not accept any packages from anyone.
I asked for the total refund of the bike. I'm totally disappointed.
